Coaching Bio
Coach Doughtie is in his first season as the Varsity Boys Basketball coach. He is originally from Parkesburg, Pennsylvania and graduated from Octorara Area High School in 1991, where he played basketball and baseball. Coach Doughtie was the JV coach for the past four years after serving as the assistant coach of the Middle School Boys Basketball team for one year.
After high school, Coach Doughtie attended Shippensburg University where he received a degree in English in 1995. He then attended Penn State University where he received a degree in Forest Management in 2003.
Coach Doughtie currently works as an Assistant District Forester for the Pennsylvania DCNR Bureau of Forestry out of the Tioga State Forest. He lives in Wellsboro with his wife, Tracy, and three boys Peyton, RJ, and James.
