The Hornets boys basketball team got 19 points from Jordan Jackson to beat Bellefonte in the Booster Club Holiday Tournament Championship game.

A day after downing Troy to open the Wellsboro Hornets Sports Booster Club Holiday Tournament, the Green Hornet girls basketball team fall to Sayre in the championship game, 42-24.

The Hornets used a big second quarter to run to secure a win over the Panthers in the first round of the boys' Wellsboro Christmas Tournament Wednesday.

In first round action of the Wellsboro Holiday Basketball Tournament, both the JV and Varsity Lady Hornets came away the victors.

A balanced team effort lifted the Lady Hornet Varsity team over the North Penn Lady Panthers, 51-26.

Even though Wellsboro gave up 26 points in the 4th quarter they were still able to claim a 55-51 victory over the North Penn.

Despite committing 20 turnovers the Hornets played well enough to upend the Coudersport Falcons, 49-38.

Wellsboro pulled out a thrilling victory in the final seconds over South Williamsport, 51-50.
