Jackson's 25 points lead Hornets past NEB

The Wellsboro Varsity boys basketball team picked up an 80-44 win against Northeast Bradford Friday night. For the Hornets, it was their fourth win of the 2012 season.

The Hornets were led by Senior Guard Jordan Jackson, who dropped 25 points on the Panther defense in the win. Three other Hornets were in double figures in the game. Junior Joey Doganiero and Sophomore Kieron Smethers each had 15 points and Junior Dylan Prough added 10.

Rouding out the scoring for the Hornets were Sophomore Michael Pietropola with 7, Freshman Dawson Prough with 2, and Junior Kyler Widows and Sophomore Nick Marple each with one.

The Hornets won the JV game game 41-27. Sophomore Brett Kendrick had 11 points to improve their record to 3-1.

The team will be back in action on Monday, December 17 as they host Towanda.
