Raina Rogers led the Lady Hornets with 14 points and 6 rebounds on the way to a narrow win over Liberty by a score of 46-44 in NTL West action Friday night. Mikayla Palmer-Bacon scored 11 points and had 4 assists while Hannah Zuchowski had 8 points and 6 rebounds.

"We had some mental lapses," said coach Mary Grab as the Lady Hornets scrabmbling to hold onto their lead during the fourth quarter. "It was a scary thing to see the girls almost turn off during that fourth quarter. I wasn't sure where they all went: it was like watching five strangers on the court. It was a relief to hear that final buzzer!"

With the win, the Lady Hornets have an overall record of 6-3 (5-1 NTL West). On the JV side, the Lady Hornets were once again led by Jordan Butters with 9 points and 5 rebounds. Paige Carr followed with six points as the Hornets beat Liberty, 21-12. The team will return to action Monday, January 16 as they travel to Athens for a non-league contest with the Wildcats.
