MS boys bball crushes Liberty

The Wellsboro Middle School boys basketball team picked up their third win in a row last Friday night as they beat Liberty, 50-10. Dawson Prough, Joe Allen and Tony Cooper had 14, 12, and 9 points respectively to lead the team in scoring.

"We had our highest shooting percentage of the year as a team (46%)," said head coach Dan Marple. "Nick Tremper shot very well (5-9) and scored 11 points and Dawson passed the ball very well and had 4 assists and 6 steals."

Rounding out the scoring sheet for Wellsboro was Tony Cooper with 8 rebounds and Jake Singer and James Mundy with 2 point each.

In the B-Team game, Wellsboro won 24-17 with 9 players recording stats. Jake Singer had 8 points and Brandon Lamphier had 10. Ethan Nichols had 4, while Brandon Bower, Roman Amarosa, Bryon Callahan, Owen Covert, and Rich Tardieu contributed 2. Larry Walters went 1-2 from the foul line for 1 point.
