Wellsboro out paces Canton

Jordan Jackson scored 21 to lead the Green Hornets to a 52-43 win over Canton NTL cross-over boys' basketball win Friday. Wellsboro jumped out to a 16-6 first quarter lead but Canton cut that to five at the half, then to three by the end of the third quarter. The Hornets closed strong, though, out scoring Canton 11-5 in the fourth to secure the win.

Michael Pietropola added 10 points for the Hornets while Dylan Prough scored eight. Sam Mitchell netted eight while Matt Reese and Joey Daganiero had two points a piece.

With the win, the Hornets improve to 11-1 (6-0 NTL West). The team will be back in action on Tuesday, January 24 as travel to Northeast Bradford.
