Lady Hornets to participate in Muncy Rotary Tournament

The Muncy Rotary Club will host its annual Winter Girls Basketball Tournament this year on December 6th and 7th. The event will take place at the Muncy Jr Sr High School, on West Penn Street in Muncy.

Schools participating this year will be: Northwest High School, Wellsboro High School, Hughesville High School and Muncy High School. The event will consist of two levels of play. All schools will participate with their Girls Varsity and JV teams. The Varsity will have two games Friday evening starting at 6:30 p.m. with Northwest facing Hughesville followed by Muncy and Wellsboro battling it out at 8:00 p.m.

The following day we will start at 11:00 a.m. with the J.V. Tournament. The final games of the tournament will start at 6:30 p.m. for the consolation game followed by the Championship game at 8:00 p.m.

We hope to see everyone come out to watch our local girls basketball programs. These girls work hard on and off the court. We look forward to your support.

The Muncy Rotary Club uses income from this tournament to support student scholarship, student of the month recognition, and other youth activities in the community.
