Junior High Hornets Fall To Towanda

The Wellsboro Junior High Basketball teams both suffered losses to Towanda on Friday, November 18.

The girls fell 19-7 in the A game and lost 24-20 in the B game.

The boys lost the A game 40-24 but won the B game, 36-14.

For the girls, Teagan Novinger scored 4 points, Delaney Morral added 2 points, and Kate Bryant chipped in a point. In the B game Rosa Seguera led the young Lady Hornets with 6 points, Peyton Keane and Rylee Coolidge both added 4 points, and Jennifer Belz, Maddison Moore, and Emery Butters all chipped in two points each.

For the boys, Ransom Schultz led the team with 9 points, Max Mascho added 7, Ethan Keane had 6, and Griffin Morral chipped in with 2 points. In the B game Jacob Brown (13) and Luke Szentesy (12) were both in double-digits, RJ Doughtie added 5 points, Reed Richardson scored 4, and Lane Cozby pitched in 2 points.

The Hornets host Canton tomorrow night then are off until next week following the Thanksgiving holiday.
