Junior High Hornets Improve To 3-0

The Wellsboro Junior High Boys Basketball team improved to 3-0 following a 37-22 victory over Williamson on Monday, November 7.

Despite trailing 10-8 after the opening quarter the Hornets went on a 23-4 run in the 2nd and 3rd quarters to seal the victory.

Keagan Spaar led Wellsboro with 8 points while Ethan Keane added 7 points and Gideon Lawton, Max Mascho, Griffin Morral, and Ransom Schultz all added 6 points. Sparr also grabbed 6 rebounds, Keane recorded 5 steals and 4 rebounds, Mascho added 3 steals, Morral grabbed 5 rebounds, and Schultz had a block and 4 rebounds.

In the B game Wellsboro won 29-10 with 19 points coming from Jacob Brown. Mason Brill and RJ Doughtie scored 4 points each and Reed Richardson and Tanner Allen chipped in two points a piece.

Wellsboro (3-0) hosts Cowanesque Valley tomorrow evening.
